1. Agreement
By installing Paloryx Resolver, creating a Paloryx Labs account, or using paloryxlabs.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
If you're using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old to create a paid account. The free Home tier of the resolver may be used without an account and by users of any age, subject to your local laws.
3. What you can do
Subject to these Terms and your license tier, Paloryx Labs grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run Paloryx Resolver on your own hardware for personal or business network filtering.
- Home tier: free for personal home networks. You may install it on any number of your own machines.
- Pro tier: paid, up to 50 devices per license.
- Business tier: paid, unlimited devices per license with team features and priority support.
4. What you can't do
You agree not to:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Paloryx Resolver without our written permission.
- Reverse-engineer the Pro or Business features, or remove license checks.
- Use the Service to violate anyone else's privacy — for example, filtering or inspecting DNS traffic on a network you don't control without informed consent from the people using it.
- Use the Service for anything illegal, to harass others, to send spam, or to interfere with any third party's systems.
- Attempt to disrupt or probe our cloud infrastructure except via our responsible-disclosure program (see Security).
5. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secret. Tell us immediately at support@paloryxlabs.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication on both your Paloryx Labs account and the resolver's admin UI.
6. Payment and refunds
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period (monthly or annually). You can cancel at any time from the dashboard.
- 14-day refund: new subscribers can request a full refund within 14 days of their first payment, for any reason.
- After the 14-day window, we don't offer prorated refunds for mid-period cancellations, but your subscription will remain active until the end of the paid period.
- Taxes are your responsibility where required by local law.
7. Software updates
We release updates to Paloryx Resolver regularly. You control when updates are applied to your install. Some updates include security fixes — we strongly recommend applying them promptly. The cloud API may require a minimum resolver version for Pro/Business features.
8. Beta features
Features marked "beta" or "experimental" may change or be removed without notice. We don't guarantee their stability or availability.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing support@paloryxlabs.com. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms — we'll give reasonable notice where we can. On termination, your license to the paid features ends, but the Home-tier resolver you've already installed continues to work.
10. Warranties
The Service is provided as-is and as-available. We don't warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific needs. DNS filtering is a layer of defense, not a guarantee — no tool blocks every threat, and you remain responsible for your overall network security.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paloryx Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for direct damages in any 12-month period will not exceed the amount you paid us in that period (or US$50 for free-tier users).
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Paloryx Labs against any third-party claim arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Intellectual property
Paloryx Resolver and paloryxlabs.com, including all source code, designs, documentation, and trademarks, are the property of Paloryx Labs. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual-property rights to you beyond the license granted in Section 3.
14. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties (Stripe for billing, Anthropic for the AI advisor, Supabase for data storage, and others). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We select reputable providers and bind them by contract to reasonable data protection standards.
15. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll notify you by email (for accounts) or a prominent notice on the site, and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Delaware, except that you may bring claims in your local courts if required by your local law.
